Paul and Rena Pitchess are a brother-sister tax team with unique backgrounds and perspectives. They grew up in Newport Beach and attended Corona Del Mar High School before heading off to college. During college Paul surfed, played basketball, and attended classes in Guadalajara, Mexico. Rena traveled extensively throughout Europe and completed a semester perfecting her Spanish in the coastal city of San Sabastian, Spain. After college they both worked in their respective fields before coming together to form Pitchess & Pitchess LLP in 2004.
Paul Pitchess

Paul earned a BA in Political Science at the University of San Diego and a JD from Whittier College School of Law. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1997. Before starting Pitchess & Pitchess, Paul worked in real estate, corporate, and tax law. Paul advises clients on tax and business entities, tax law issues, and has represented clients in a the Appeals Division of the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Rena Pitchess

Rena graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with a BS in Accountancy and became a Certified Public Account. Rena managed a CPA firm in Hermosa Beach before becoming a partner in Pitchess & Pitchess, LLP. Rena has worked on a wide range of tax and accounting issues for small businesses and individual clients. Her areas of specialization include income tax planning, income tax preparation and reviews, and executive stock option consulting. Rena is a member of California Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
